CHAPTER 11

The Lord a Refuge and Defense

1. I take refuge in the Lord
2. Q. Why should I say …flee like a bird?
3. IF
1. THE FOUNDATIONS ARE DESTROYED
4. THEN
1. WHAT CAN THE RIGHTEOUS DO?
5. COMMENT: The foundations are everything.

CHAPTER 12

God a Helper against the Treacherous

1. Lord help!
1. For the godly man ceases to be
2. The faithful disappear from among the sons of men
2. They (the treacherous)
1. Speak falsehood to one another—with flattering lips
2. Their tonge speaks great things
3. Have said with their tongue, We will prevail
4. Have said, Our lips are our own
5. Have said, Who is lord over us?
3. But the Lord
1. Will arise
2. Set him in the safety for which he longs
3. His words are pure
4. Keeps them
5. Preserves them
4. The wicked
1. Strut around on every side
2. When vileness is exalted among the sons of men
5. COMMENT: This is a good picture of what is happening in America today…look at how the perverted strut at their parades as America begins to accept the aberrant lifestyle and definition of marriage.

CHAPTER 13

Prayer for help in Trouble

1. How long
1. Will You forget me?
2. Will You hide Your face from me?
3. Shall I take counsel in my soul—with sorrow all day?
4. Will my enemy be exalted over me?
2. Lord…
1. Consider
2. Answer me
3. Enlighten my eyes (or I sleep the sleep of death)
3. But
1. I have trusted in Your lovingkindness
2. My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation
4. Therefore
1. I will sing to the Lord
5. Why?
1. Because He has dealt bountifully with me.

CHAPTER 14

Folly and Wickedness of Men

1. THE FOOL HAS SAID IN HIS HEART…THERE IS NO GOD.
1. COMMENT: Anyone with any ability to reason at all, that looks at the world around him, with all the order, looks at man with the incredible sophistication and order, looks at the planets and their moons and rings keeping precise orbits and harmonically related distances…can not look at that and say there is not a Designer behind all this, a Creater that has made it, planned it, designed it. … there is a God. Only a fool would say there is no God…a fool who doesn’t want to deal with the concept that if there is a God, then I must get to know Him, find out what He wants of me, and become responsible to Him….that is TOO much for a fool.

CHAPTER 15

Description of a citizen of Zion

1. Question
1. Who may live in Your tent?
2. Who may dwell in Your holy hill?
2. Answer
1. The man who walks with integrity
2. The man who works righteousness
3. The man who speaks truth in his heart and does not slander with his tongue, nor do evil to his neighbor
